About the role: Guest Experience & Bar Service Deliver warm, engaging, and confident service to all guests at the bar and surrounding areas. Create a welcoming, lively, and inclusive atmosphere that reflects The Zetters character and charm. Engage with guests to understand preferences, offering thoughtful and personalised drink recommendations. Present cocktails with confidence, storytelling, and flair, enhancing the overall guest experience. Anticipate guest needs, manage drink pacing, and proactively offer refills or alternatives. Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving minor issues and escalating when appropriate. Mixology & Beverage Craft Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks to a consistently high standard. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of spirits, ingredients, preparation techniques, and presentation. Confidently create off-menu or bespoke cocktails based on guest preferences. Explain cocktail concepts, flavour profiles, and inspiration behind drinks. Deliver tableside or interactive service when applicable and appropriate to the menu. Contribute ideas for new cocktails, seasonal menus, specials, and promotions. Maintain consistency in recipes, measurements, and quality across all service periods. Bar Operations & Efficiency Set up the bar prior to service, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and readiness. Handle high-volume service with speed, accuracy, and composure. Take and record drink orders accurately through the POS system. Coordinate closely with fellow bartenders and floor staff to ensure smooth service flow. Monitor stock levels during service and communicate needs to supervisors. Support opening, closing, and handover procedures in line with standards. Standards, Cleanliness & Presentation Maintain an impeccably clean, organised, and well-presented bar at all times. Ensure glassware, equipment, and workstations are clean and correctly set. Maintain high standards of presentation across the bar and guest-facing areas. Contribute to creating a visually appealing, comfortable, and inviting bar environment. Health, Safety & Compliance Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, licensing, and health & safety regulations. Demonstrate strong awareness of allergens and responsible alcohol service. Ensure safe handling of equipment, glassware, and ingredients. Report hazards, maintenance issues, or safety concerns promptly. Comply fully with company policies and procedures. Teamwork, Conduct & Professionalism Work collaboratively with the wider service and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service. Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute positively to team morale. Attend and actively participate in briefings, training sessions, and tastings. Take accountability for punctuality, personal presentation, and performance. Uphold The Zetters standards of conduct, respect, and professionalism at all times. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Bartender, ideally within a high-quality or cocktail-led environment. Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, and cocktail preparation. Confident, engaging communication style with a natural ability to connect with guests. Be creative; we do not do boxes at Zetter, so no need to think outside of it. We are always happy to bounce ideas off each other. Be accountable; its your job after all. But remember we are a team; shout if you need help. Pay attention to details; once it is out there, it is impossible to get back so we expect your best work but always happy to help. Be sociable; get to know your colleagues.
