🔋 Power Electronics Engineer – Automotive Inverters 📍 Location: [Bnabury, UK] 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our growing engineering team, working on the design and development of advanced automotive power electronics systems, including traction inverters and high-voltage power conversion technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electrification projects within the rapidly evolving automotive industry. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop automotive power electronics systems, including traction inverters and high-power DC-DC converters, • Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, • Perform circuit simulation, analysis, and component selection for high-voltage and high-current applications, • Support prototype development, testing, and validation of power electronics hardware, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, mechanical, and systems engineers, • Ensure designs meet automotive standards, reliability, and safety requirements, • Assist with debugging, performance optimization, and product improvement activitiesRequired Qualifications, • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, • Experience designing power electronics hardware, • Proficiency using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, • Strong understanding of power conversion topologies, switching devices, and control methods, • Experience with high-voltage or automotive electronics systems, • Knowledge of testing and validation techniques for power electronicsDesirable Skills, • Experience with automotive traction inverters or motor drive systems, • Familiarity with SiC / GaN power devices, • Experience with thermal design, EMC/EMI mitigation, and reliability analysis, • Understanding of automotive development processes and standardsWhat We Offer, • Opportunity to work on next-generation electrified vehicle technologies, • Collaborative engineering environment, • Competitive salary and benefits package
