Job Type: Full Time Location: Banbury, UK / International Travel For over a decade, Live Wire has been delivering technology and immersive experiences across Formula 1, supporting the major teams and F1 Management. Our work spans hospitality suites, paddocks, garages, and factories, elevating all 24 races annually. We also provide AV and technical solutions for festivals, concerts, conferences, theatre, working with venues including Southbank Centre, Barbican, and more. We are seeking a Project Manager with agency experience, a strong knowledge of AV and technology, and a track record of leading complex projects internationally. Job Description The Project Manager will oversee international sporting clients and high profile projects, ensuring exceptional delivery from concept to execution. Reporting to the Head of F1 Projects, you will act as the key client contact, lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure all technical and operational aspects meet the highest standards. This role requires a proactive, solution focused approach, combining project management expertise with a deep understanding of AV and technology. You will play a pivotal role in integrating innovation into all projects, improving efficiency, and ensuring world class client experiences. Key responsibilities Project Delivery • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from initial planning through to on-site delivery and post-event review., • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, equipment requirements, staffing needs and logistical considerations., • Coordinate internal teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved., • Ensure clear communication across departments throughout the project lifecycle. Budget & Financial Management • Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with finance and production teams., • Monitor project costs and maintain accurate financial forecasting., • Track spend against budgets and implement cost control measures where necessary., • Ensure accurate documentation of equipment, crew and operational costs. Resource & Crew Coordination • Plan and allocate resources including technical crew, equipment and suppliers., • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure staffing and logistics align with project requirements., • Coordinate travel and logistics for international projects where required. Client Management • Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients., • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and proactive project updates., • Lead project meetings and ensure client expectations and project requirements are clearly defined., • Manage client feedback and support resolution of issues where required. Project Reporting & Documentation • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies., • Manage changes to project scope and timelines effectively., • Make decisions under pressure to ensure project continuity and delivery. Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience in project management, ideally within live events, AV or production environments., • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously., • Experience managing budgets and forecasting project costs., • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills., • Ability to make decisions and problem-solve in fast-paced environments., • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple teams., • Willingness to travel internationally as required. Desirable • Experience working within live events, AV, technical production or broadcast environments., • Knowledge of AV equipment, event technology or production workflows., • Experience working on large-scale events or international projects.
