The successful candidate will be able to perform all general duties expected of a HCA, undergoing health checks and caring for patients. Required: • HCA experience working within a UK UTC or A&E, • Experience treating patients of all ages (paediatric & adults) Applicants without these requirements will not be considered. Location: Birmingham Contract: Locum | Full-Time or Part-Time | Adhoc bookings Shift Times: 8am - 2pm/8am - 1pm | 2pm - 8pm/1pm - 6pm | 6pm - 11pm Days: Mon - Sun Pay (LTD Options available): • Days: £14.84 PAYE Inclusive p/h, • Night: £16.18 PAYE Inclusive p/h Duties: • Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, O₂ saturation, respirations)., • Perform ECGs, urinalysis, and blood glucose tests., • Assist clinicians with minor injury and illness assessments., • Chaperone patients during examinations or procedures., • Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment, ensuring infection control standards., • Carry out wound care, simple dressings, and removal of sutures or clips (if trained)., • Collect and label specimens for lab testing., • Support patient mobility, comfort, and communication needs., • Update electronic patient records accurately, • Assist with stock control and ordering of clinical supplies., • Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.
