Healthcare Assistant \n Location: Various Sites \n Contract Type: Permanent \n Salary: £24,852.56 – £27,374.97 (£12.71 – £14.00 per hour) \n About the Role \n We are recruiting a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join a growing clinical team supporting outpatient clinics across a variety of specialties. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HCA who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality patient care while supporting clinicians across NHS and private services. The role offers variety, professional development, and the opportunity to work across multiple clinical settings. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • \n Support the smooth running of outpatient clinics and patient pathways \n • \n Undertake patient observations including blood pressure, height, weight and urinalysis \n • \n Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection \n • \n Assist with ECGs, wound care, dressing changes and suture removal \n • \n Chaperone patients during examinations and procedures \n • \n Support clinicians during minor surgery and specialist outpatient clinics \n • \n Prepare and maintain clinical rooms, equipment and stock \n • \n Record patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality \n • \n Assist with reception duties when required \n • \n Ensure compliance with infection prevention, CQC and Health & Safety standards \n • \n Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives and mandatory training \n\n What We're Looking ForEssential \n\n • \n NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) \n • \n Care Certificate \n • \n Minimum of one year's experience as a Healthcare Assistant \n • \n Phlebotomy experience or training \n • \n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \n • \n Strong organisational skills with a patient-centred approach \n • \n Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team \n • \n IT literacy \n • \n Full UK driving licence \n • \n Willingness to travel between sites and work weekends on a rota basis \n\n Desirable \n\n • \n Experience supporting outpatient clinics or outpatient procedures \n • \n Previous hospital or diagnostic service experience \n • \n Experience working across multiple clinical specialties \n • \n Flexible and highly motivated approach to work \n\n What’s on Offer \n\n • \n Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development \n • \n Varied role across multiple outpatient specialties \n • \n Supportive multidisciplinary team environment \n • \n Career progression opportunities \n • \n Exposure to both NHS and private healthcare services \n\n If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to broaden your clinical experience in a varied outpatient setting, we'd love to hear from you.
