The role As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of district heating project sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is site-facing, requiring regular site visits, problem-solving, and direct coordination with contractors and engineers to keep projects on track. Working under the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, you will oversee on-site activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards. You will play a vital role in ensuring that district heating infrastructure, including civils, mechanical, and electrical works, is installed and maintained effectively. Responsibilities / Deliverables Site Management & Problem-Solving: • Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, identify risks, and address any technical, • challenges., • Act as the primary on-site contact for resolving construction and operational issues., • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety, • standards, and company policies., • Work closely with contractors and engineers to develop and implement solutions to site, • issues., • Ensure site documentation, risk assessments, and method statements are properly, • managed. Project Coordination & Delivery: • Manage site activities, workforce, and resources to ensure smooth project execution., • Liaise with Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and contractors to align site activities with project schedules., • Ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and personnel needed for on-site works., • Conduct quality checks and ensure all mechanical, electrical, and civils works meet project specifications. Emergency & Maintenance Support: • Act as the first responder for emergency repairs and leaks on the buried district heating network., • Support the Operations team with planned maintenance, engine removals, installations, and repair works. Your experience • • Strong background in site management within district heating, utilities, or construction. Hands-on experience in civils, mechanical, and electrical works related to heat networks., • Proven ability to lead site teams, coordinate contractors, and resolve on-site issues efficiently., • Good understanding of CDM Regulations, health & safety compliance, and risk management., • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Qualifications • CSCS Gold or Black Card, • NRSWA card, • SMSTS Qualified, • First Aid, • Experience in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines, • Experience of managing M&E/Civil Projects with a diverse project delivery team
