We partner with a variety of children’s homes, each dedicated to providing exceptional care to children with diverse needs, including Autism, complex conditions, and emotional challenges.\n\nIdeal Backgrounds Include:\n\n * Experienced children’s support workers or individuals with experience in adult care.\n\n * Nursing, ambulance service, prison service, or adult care.\n\n * Sports coaching, teaching assistant roles, or youth work.\n\n * Nursery nurses, public services, or mental health professionals.\n\n * University students studying Public Services, Child Development, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) courses, or Child Psychology.\n\nThe Role:\n\nThis role is all about delivering the highest standard of care to children with special needs. Regardless of your experience level, you will take part in a comprehensive training program to ensure that all staff work to the same high standards. You’ll be working in a residential children’s home with a fantastic reputation for excellence in care, supporting children with needs such as autism, complex conditions, and emotional challenges.\n\nAs a Bank Children's Support Worker, you’ll have the flexibility to choose your shifts based on your availability. The shifts available include:\n\n * 07:00 – 15:15\n\n * 14:00 – 22:00\n\n * Double shifts (07:00 – 22:00)\n\nShifts vary, so you can decide what works best for you, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.\n\nYou will work in dorms that accommodate 1 - 2 children, alongside trained support workers, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities.\n\nYour Responsibilities:\n\n * Support children in their morning and evening routines.\n\n * Build strong, positive relationships and promote a structured daily routine.\n\n * Assist in social development and vocational activities.\n\n * Deliver sensory activities (full training provided).\n\n * Promote positive interactions within the home.\n\n * Be an emotionally available adult who is caring, understanding, and adaptable.\n\n * Assist with cooking and encourage independence in daily tasks.\n\n * Communicate with parents and senior staff to provide accurate updates on a child’s progress.\n\n * Maintain accurate records and safeguarding logs.\n\n * Participate in day trips and vocational activities, such as shopping, rock climbing, and bowling.\n\nThis is a hands-on role where you’ll create a safe, supportive, and fun environment for children.
