Job Description 37.5 Hours | Cherwell Hospital The role The Cherwell Hospital is currently looking to recruit an exceptional Pre-Assessment Nurse to provide specialist nursing expertise, facilitating evidence-based patient-cantered care and assessment for a defined caseload of pre-assessment patients. • To work both independently and collaboratively with a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, enabling them to co-ordinate patients throughout their pre-assessment pathway, with a high level of input into the management and care of patients prior to admission for specified procedures., • To support of all members of staff within the Outpatient department, including students of nursing/visiting healthcare professionals, • To act as a liaison link with the Multi-disciplinary team and contribute to work involved in the Anesthetic Meeting / Complex MDT meeting - for example - escalating complex patient and help plan their care, • Uses highly developed communication skills to provide guidance, advice and support to the patient / ward / physio / theatre staff regarding management of their proposed admission and its impact on patient’s/carer’s life., • Whilst communicating complex, sensitive, sometimes distressing information to patient, is able to identify and overcome barriers to patient understanding, • Establishes partnerships with patients/carers and communicates with them, sometimes in highly distressing or emotional circumstances, • Act as patients advocate, ensuring that informed consent, privacy and dignity are maintained (NMC), • Critically reflect on own performance through supervision/action learning What you’ll bring with you • Current NMC registration, • Minimum 6 months paid experience in a Pre-op assessment Nurse role in an NHS/Private Hospital in the past 3 years, • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently, • Flexible and positive attitude, • A warm, considerate and empathetic character Where you’ll be based The Cherwell Hospital Banbury, Outpatients department The Cherwell Hospital opened in 2006 and provides convenient, effective, high quality treatment for patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis whether medically insured, self-pay or funded by the NHS. We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician with a strong background in end-user support and familiarity with common tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling tickets assigned to the local workgroup from the Global Service Desk and logging walk-in tickets related to end-user support. The role involves interfacing with the Global Service Desk and other global support groups to fulfil the deliverables supporting the OSS contract. Key Responsibilities • Take initiative in managing, responding to, and owning incidents and tasks in the support queue, with a preference for ServiceNow knowledge., • Ensure accurate and timely tracking of incidents and calls, adhering to specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs)., • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues on Lenovo PCs (Desktops/Laptops)., • Possess experience in hardware support, including tasks such as printer setup and component replacement., • Exhibit the ability to resolve Windows 10 Operating System errors., • Show proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 Suite., • Handle basic support for DEP Apple iPad and iPhone issues, with a preference for InTune MDM., • Perform computer imaging tasks., • Manage desk setups and moves., • Possess network troubleshooting skills, including but not limited to; network patching (Cat6 & Fibre), TCP/IP commands & device installation in racks., • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. Requirement's • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT Support Role., • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken., • Ability to work flexibly, efficiently, and independently., • Proven track record of owning projects and taking responsibility for their delivery., • Ability to translate technical information into language comprehensible to non-technical audiences., • Strong commitment to customer service and proven experience in building customer relationships., • Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills., • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Research Scientist in Biokinetics Rate: £17.82 per hour Location: Bracknell, Jealotts Hill Contract Length: 24 months About this opportunity: Our client is looking for a Research Scientist who has proven experience in a research setting to join the Bioperformance group. The Bioperformance group within the Bioscience function in Crop Protection conducts research on the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Elimination) behaviour of active ingredients (AIs) within target and non-target species to understand critical performance characteristics such as selectivity, resistance and translation to and in the field. Role purpose and key requirements: The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, from early-stage research to product development and market support. They will use a combination of lab and glasshouse assays as well as analytical techniques, to produce high quality data on the bioavailability of active ingredients and products. We are looking for someone with at least two years’ experience of working in a laboratory, a degree, MSc (preferred) or PhD, in a Biological Science subject and preferably some experience of working in plant science or insect science. Additionally, the candidate must show good personal management skills, such as following science plans, delivering results in line with the project timelines, and complying with HSE standards. The candidate must have a team mentality, effective interpersonal and communications skills, and be able to work with colleagues from various disciplines. The role will involve: Core tasks Proactively providing the scientific and technical support to inform about the bioavailability of novel agrochemicals by performing studies in whole plants / insects (in vivo) or plant parts and insect tissues (ex vivo). Responsible for independently designing, planning, executing and analysing experiments to further our understanding of how AIs interact with in plant or insect matrixes. Interpretating and analysing data and presenting conclusions in detailed reports and presentations. Performing operational priorities that are agreed with the Science Leader. Implementing HSE actions to ensure the operations are within defined standards. Additional tasks Reviewing and advancing established protocols or methodology that improves capability and efficiency. Transferring knowledge and building new capabilities to supplement existing toolkits. What are we looking for: Essential: • BSc or MSc (preferred) with experience in subject areas related to Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and/or Soil Science., • At least two years of relevant laboratory-based experience, either in a relevant professional or academic setting., • Effective scientific writing (fluent in English), verbal communication, and organizational skills. Desirable: • Some professional experience working in Pharmacology, Agronomy, Crop Protection, Biochemistry or Analytical Chemistry., • Experience in handling large data sets – data storage, reporting analysis, and visualization tools., • Experience in the study of ADME of active ingredients., • Experience of analysing small molecules using LC-MS., • Experience working with soil, seeds, plants or insects.
