Drainage Foreman – Highways (Deep Drainage) – Howden We are currently seeking an experienced Drainage Foreman to lead deep drainage works on a major highways project in the Howden area. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong background in deep drainage operations within a highways environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing site teams, coordinating plant and labour, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead drainage gangs on deep drainage installations, • Organise and allocate labour, plant, and materials effectively, • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental standards, • Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications, • Maintain progress on site and liaise with site management and engineers, • Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements Requirements: • Proven experience as a Drainage Foreman on highways or civil engineering projects, • Strong knowledge of deep drainage systems and installation methods, • Ability to manage teams and put men and machines to work efficiently, • SSSTS/SMSTS preferred, • CPCS/NPORS and other relevant tickets advantageous, • Strong communication and organisational skills About the Company: You will be joining a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and groundwork projects across the UK.
