NRL are working with a leading client who's projects include major private infrastructure network developments, microgrid solutions, Gas / Hydrogen based generation and Grid support through Battery storage schemes. They are a commercial organisation who generate leads and prospects from multiple clients including DNO’s for work either owned and operated by a DNO or Private Commercial, NHS, Airports and large manufacturing customers operating in a commercial environment. This key role will oversee the delivery of the largest Private Network in the UK. As a Framework Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the project team and sub-contractors delivering a five-year >£150M high voltage electrical engineering, design, and construction management agreement. You will be responsible for managing all day-to-day client interactions. You will be responsible for developing and managing the processes and systems are in place to ensure compliance with the framework agreement and internal company controls. You will be responsible for ensuring the high voltage infrastructure projects delivered under the framework are delivered successfully and in line with the client and company’s expectations. This involves ensuring compliance with policies, managing resources indirectly, and fostering relationships to meet strategic objectives. They may also be involved in business improvement programs, risk assessment, and deputizing senior managers as required. Principal Responsibilities • Accountability for all company Health & Safety processes on the project site including, compliance with Construction Design Management (CDM) Construction Phase Plans, Codes of Practice, Safety rules, point of work risk assessments, safety observations, incident reporting and all other related Health & Safety Executive policies., • Day-to-day management of the full-time, part-time, and contract resources engaged to deliver the framework and the programmes of work under the framework., • Management of a total portfolio of £150M+ of design & construction projects including identifying resource requirements, managing risk, developing weekly, monthly and quarterly performance update reports., • Overseeing the day-to-day operations against various client programmes of work under the framework and ensuring they align with the organisation's strategic goals and objectives, making changes as appropriate through consulting all relevant stakeholders., • Framework P&L responsibility, ensuing the framework outperforms is predicated profitability through collaborative delivery efficiencies that create both the short-term project gains and long-term framework benefits for both our client and our company., • Accountable for compliance with all commercial/contractual obligations and legislation (with specific compliance with NEC 4 type A & C contracts)., • Act as the key point of contact & escalation for our customer, our site team and design teams for delivery elements of both planning and implementing current and future projects, • Provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and meeting customer expectations such as; maintaining a safe, orderly and structured work, achieving customer outage times & dates and only accepting high quality work product., • Regularly bringing together relevant stakeholders taking accountability for any concerns and developing and implementing change plans to address challenges and ensure successful delivery., • Continually seek to identify future sales opportunities within the framework, supporting our estimation and design team on pre-contract works., • Stand in for other wider and senior leaders (as required). Who we are looking for • Hold a minimum of a Batchelors Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project or Commercial Management; (or a HNC in Engineering and previous engineering experience); (essential)., • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge from within the construction industry (essential) with a preference of utilities (preferable)., • Experienced managing large NEC4 (Type C) commercial contracts, co-ordinating customer requirements and resources within given budgets for engineering and construction projects; (essential)., • Experience developing, managing, and delivering complex engineering and construction programmes, safely and to a high quality; (essential)., • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator; (essential)., • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (essential)., • Tenacious, resilient and able to adapt to change quickly to meet clients’ needs (essential)., • Demonstrable problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and mitigate them as necessary (essential)., • Hold a full UK driving licence.
