Developer Leeds – Hybrid Permanent Summary We’re currently seeking a multi-skilled developer to join our ICT team here in Leeds. Reporting directly to our ICT Development Lead, you’ll focus initially on Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering. You will be reporting into the Environment & Sustainability Manager, within the SHEQ department, this role will support the business by complying with environmental regulations, working across our projects and operations to audit, report and ensure compliance; coordinating aspects of pollution control, waste management, energy efficiency, environmental and identifying sustainability opportunities; working with environmental data to report internally and externally; and maintaining our ISO 14001 accredited environmental management system. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: • Contribute to the maintenance of our ISO 14001 accredited environmental management system, including coordinating and maintaining aspects and impacts registers, environmental management plans, site waste management plans and procedures, and supporting onsite environmental documentation., • Gather, cleanse, analyse and report environmental data to produce reports and data to meet the needs of both the business and clients in line with target dates., • Audit, monitor, ensure compliance and support initiatives on sites and projects– relating to waste and circular economy, pollution control, carbon and energy efficiency, biodiversity., • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with relevant UK, EU and international regulations and legislation., • Provide in-house subject matter expertise and environmental support to project teams., • Support the Environment & Sustainability Manager with environmental investigations., • Identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and waste across projects and operations., • Update and implement appropriate training to staff on environmental awareness, best practice, regulatory changes and emerging environmental issues and mitigation., • Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce environmental risks and financial costs., • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure environmental expectations and requirements are met across projects., • Support the Land Management and Ecology teams to ensure projects adhere to biodiversity protection measures., • Work in partnership with Procurement teams to assess and advise on the sustainability credentials of suppliers and materials. What Are We Looking For We are currently seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join our Health & Safety Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day SHEQ audits on site, general health and safety, environmental, quality, and energy management. Key Duties • To perform regular SHEQ site inspections and prepare reports of these inspections., • To stop any unsafe working practices and raise the matter with site management, • To be aware of the Company’s Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Energy Management systems and procedures, and to ensure their application as they relate to your area of responsibility., • Assist in the preparation of safety plan format and updates., • Assist the SHEQ Manager in carrying out the 6-monthly review of the SHEQ procedures and forms, and ensure all changes made are incorporated into the SHEQ Management Manual and issued to all manual holders., • Carry out drug and alcohol testing on sites when instructed., • Liaise with HSE, take part in discussions with bodies concerned with accident prevention, and be aware of current recommended Codes of Practice and new safety literature., • To attend safety meetings on site if required., • Prepare and deliver toolbox talks on site if required., • Attend Health & Safety meetings with the SHEQ Manager., • Attend meetings with other company departments if required., • Promote the safe conduct of work generally and distribute health and safety information to all relevant staff and operatives., • Encourage communication between operatives and the SHEQ Department/ Management during toolbox talks and inspection visits to site., • To attend training courses and seminars as required., • To investigate minor site accidents and report as necessary., • Production of method statements and risk assessments, • To carry out such duties which may be ascribed to the post from time to time. About the Role You’ll play an important role in guiding geotechnical aspects of projects, helping shape solutions from the tender stage through to construction. Lead Civil Design Engineer – Water £80k / £400 contract An established engineering design consultancy delivering civil and multidisciplinary engineering across the UK utilities and water sector. We have a respected and growing civil engineering design team in Manchester with a strong pipeline of clean water, wastewater and infrastructure projects. This role provides the opportunity to take technical ownership of major water-sector design packages and lead the development of high-quality civil engineering solutions across complex projects. Role Overview To take responsibility for design solutions, technical standards and deliverables across civil engineering design packages. You will oversee the work of engineers and CAD technicians, approve key design outputs, and ensure deliverables meet safety, quality, integration and programme expectations.
