HV JOINTER - PLYMOUTH / EXETER Full-Time | Permanent | Company Vehicle Let's be clear. This isn't a role for someone 'looking to step up.' This is for a proper HV Jointer who knows what they're doing. If you've earned your stripes on LV and 11kV jointing, can deliver clean, compliant work under pressure, and take pride in getting it right first time - keep reading. THE WORK You'll be working on established electricity infrastructure frameworks across the Plymouth / Exeter region delivering: * LV jointing (mandatory) * 11kV straight joints & terminations (mandatory) * Network upgrades & new connections * Fault response and planned works * Underground cable installations * Work within live network environments * Street works & civil interface teams This is real network work. Not theory. Not shadowing. Not assisting. You'll be expected to operate confidently, safely, and professionally. WHAT YOU MUST HAVE No fluff here. * Proven LV jointing experience * Proven 11kV jointing experience (straight joints & terminations) * Full understanding of safety rules in live environments * Strong cable identification & preparation standards * Ability to work independently or within a small team * Full UK driving licence If 11kV isn't solid, this won't work. We ARE hiring a experienced High Voltage Jointers to support subsea cable installation, termination, and maintenance activities on offshore wind and grid-connection projects across Europe. This position requires certified HV cable jointers who are fully approved by major manufacturers (Pfisterer, Nexans, NKT) and able to work offshore on rotation. EU and UK candidates are eligible. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: -Perform HV and EHV subsea cable jointing and termination (up to 66 kV and above) on offshore wind farms and offshore substations. -Execute terminations inside offshore OSS topsides, J-tubes, hang-offs, and cable management systems. -Support cable pull-ins, testing, protection, and commissioning activities. -Conduct offshore cable repairs when required, including fault-finding support. -Work closely with offshore supervisors, client representatives, vessel crews, and installation teams. Required Qualifications & Certificates: -Valid HV Jointer certifications from at least one of the following: -Pfisterer (e.g., 3A / 3A Seanex) -Nexans (66 kV cable systems) -NKT (66 kV cable systems) -Demonstrable experience in offshore HV jointing or termination. -Valid right to work in the EU or UK. Mandatory offshore certificates: GWO BST (minimum) Offshore medical (e.g., OGUK or equivalent) Strong understanding of subsea cable handling, cable protection systems, and offshore installation procedures.
