This is an opportunity to join a leading contractor delivering major infrastructure, where you’ll gain hands-on experience as a Graduate Site Engineer, working alongside experienced Section and Senior Engineers. You’ll be part of a high-performing engineering function committed to digital innovation, technical excellence, and modern methods of construction. From setting out and surveying to quality assurance and technical problem-solving, you’ll play a key role in bringing large-scale civil engineering works to life. Key Criteria – Graduate Civil Engineer / Site Engineer Essential • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline (2:2 or above), • Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail, • Confident communicator with the ability to work well in a team and on site, • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available), • Willingness to work onsite and occasionally away from home, • Ability to interpret technical drawings and data (or willingness to learn quickly), • Strong IT skills, including the use of digital tools and engineering software, • Motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, practical environment Desirable • Experience with surveying, CAD, or digital engineering tools, • Previous site experience (placement, internship, summer role), • Understanding of temporary works, construction sequencing, or engineering methods, • Interest in progressing toward ICE professional accreditation, • Awareness of safety, quality, and environmental standards on construction projects What You’ll Be Doing • Apply company procedures and ensure engineering activities meet required standards, • Carry out dimensional control and setting out using digital engineering models and CAD data, • Interpret as-built surveys, verify compliance, and produce accurate reports, • Work to specified tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship and testing, • Understand construction methods, temporary works, materials, and systems, • Support the management of lifting operations, logistics planning, and safe systems of work, • Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and specifications, • Use electronic data management tools to access and control project information, • Raise technical queries and support design coordination, • Contribute to environmental, safety, and quality management onsite, • Prepare method statements, task sheets, and deliver briefings where required What the Graduate Programme Offers • Practical site experience on major UK infrastructure projects, • Structured technical training and development, • Support in working toward ICE professional accreditation, • Exposure to digital engineering, DFMA, and modern construction techniques, • Mentoring, coaching, and continuous learning opportunities, • A collaborative environment that challenges and supports you Application Process • CV Submission – assessed against entry criteria, • Online Assessment – situational judgement, critical thinking & numerical reasoning, • Video Interview – respond to set questions, • Assessment Centre – tasks, group work & interviews at a regional office, • Outcome – feedback typically issued within two weeks Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and roles may close early.
