Company Description White & Co was established in 2003 and became White & Co Solicitors Ltd in 2019. The Practice is situated in the centre of Southend-on-Sea and is a niche practice dealing with family law and private client law. This has resulted in its lawyers having a wealth of expert knowledge in these areas. Role Description White & Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role is based in Southend-On-Sea. The Family Law Paralegal will manage a caseload, draft legal documents, conduct research, maintain client files, communicate with and advise clients, and ensure compliance with court deadlines. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage priorities effectively in a dynamic legal environment. Qualifications • Strong knowledge and experience in Family Law, including child arrangements, divorce, and domestic abuse cases. Experience pf public law preferable but not essential., • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as court applications, agreements, and experience with proofreading and editing legal texts with a high attention to detail., • Ability to perform legal research and analyse relevant case laws, statutes, and legal precedents., • Effective organisational and administrative skills, including managing case files, meeting deadlines, and coordinating schedules., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and correspondence with legal professionals., • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and legal practice management software. Experience of Leap ideal but not essential., • A degree or qualification in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field preferable but equivalent experience will also be considered., • Capability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion., • Previous experience working in a family law firm or legal environment required.
