Each restaurant within the group has a unique menu and a different story. The Position At BAO, we care about doing things properly - from the quality of our ingredients to how we run our kitchens. This role is all about consistency, standards, and leading by example. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver our menus to the highest standard, manage the day-to-day kitchen operation, and support your team to do their best work. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-led environment and is looking to take the next step in their culinary career. Key Responsibilities • Manage the daily operation of the dessert café, ensuring smooth and efficient service., • Lead, motivate and develop the front and back of house team., • Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure every guest has an exceptional experience., • Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the café., • Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance., • Monitor stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships., • Control labour and food costs while maintaining quality and profitability., • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations., • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly., • Drive sales through promotions, upselling and exceptional service. About You: We are looking for someone who has: Previous management experience within a dessert café, ice cream parlour or similar hospitality environment. A proven track record of leading successful teams. Experience organising children's parties or family-focused events. Strong understanding of brand development and customer engagement. Exceptional leadership and communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleaning and hygiene standards. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and profitability. Confidence in dealing with customer enquiries and resolving complaints professionally. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
