Prepare PQQs, H&S plans, and RAMS for new clients and projects as required. Estimating Formulate accurate quotations and tenders by liaising with suppliers and negotiating discounts. Prioritise and organise quotation workflow, logging all activity, following up on feedback, and re-quoting where appropriate. Survey sites competently to ensure quotes reflect accurate scope, costs, and technical requirements. Analyse flooring plans and produce professional, technically sound quotations. Select contracts strategically, considering installer locations, client reliability, and business profitability. Marketing & Brand Development Proactively promote the company on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and through newsletters. Enter company for relevant industry recognition awards (e.g., Recofloor, CFA). Collect customer feedback on completed jobs to enhance service quality and brand reputation. General & Leadership Lead by example, supporting colleagues and installers as required. Contribute to monthly reporting to the directors, providing insight into sales, margins, and business opportunities. Exhibit professionalism, flexibility, and a proactive, can-do attitude in all aspects of the role. Key Attributes & Skills Proven experience in flooring sales, estimating, and business development. Extensive knowledge of all flooring types: timber, laminate, vinyl, linoleum, carpet, carpet tiles, and hygienic cladding. Strong understanding of subfloor assessment and preparation. Commercially aware with the ability to balance profitability and client satisfaction. Excellent people management, communication, and negotiation skills. Highly organised, with the ability to multitask effectively across sales, estimating, and marketing functions. Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Organised, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
