In a Nutshell… We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Public Sector Land to join our team within Vistry Services. As our Head of Public Land, you will be responsible for overseeing the national programme of bidding for new land opportunities from the public sector and monitoring existing sites to meet the company's requirements and expansion plans. This is a largely self-sufficient national role which will support the Company's 26 regional business units with new opportunities. Integrating within the Land Teams within the Company's business units, you will help have oversight and coordinate bids helping to ensure that the quality reflect Vistry's expectations of the highest standards. The level of input will be determined by the complexity of bids (less on more simple bids, lead on complex bids). You will be responsible for ensuring the right bid strategy, setting the programme and ensuring the necessary approvals on all public land bids. All more complex bids, you will also take the lead on coordinating the bid with the regional business unit, providing expertise and project management. You will also be responsible for producing best practice and guidance notes, ensure compliance with LoS and directly provide support to regional business units, particularly on more complex public sector land bids. To help manage relationships with public sector partners, ensuring that the company works in a collaborative approach and meet the highest expectations of behavior. Ability to develop a pipeline of public sector activity across the country with the support of regional business units. Provide advice and support to regional business units on bidding for public sector land, including bid winning strategy and engaging wider bid input across the company to improve bids. Support the regional business units with land and legal negotiations as required on public sector land (including attending interviews), particularly ensuring that Vistry's partnerships model is implementable and its reputation maintained to the highest standards. Oversee programs of bids to ensure compliance with Vistry's operating procedures and that they are delivered in a timely manner. On complex bids, be the lead, directing business units and consultants to meet bid timetables. Develop a wide range of collateral to support the business units in key bidding areas, such as case studies, sustainability, social value and replicable resources to support bids. With social value, innovation and planning colleagues, develop proposals which ensure the company is leading the way on best practice in bidding. Working with the Planning and Sustainability Team, oversee the Building for Healthy Life process on Public Sector Land to ensure best practice and compliance.
