We are looking for a waiter/waitress that is wanting part or full time work and who is committed to the job at hand. Part time for us is 3-4shifts/15-20 hours, but we can be quite flexible! Full time is 7 shifts split over 5 days (35-40 hours). Salary is £16 per hour split between service charge and base salary. A lot of our customers are very loyal and regulars and we are really looking for someone charismatic who serves with a smile. We are not an establishment that micro-manages staff, but are looking for members with enough experience who can run their own section. Responsibilities include: taking orders, recommending wine, serving food, ensuring customer satisfaction at all time, serving with a smile, working well as a team, helping behind the bar if needed/when section not quiet, helping others in their sections when needed, setting up/shutting down & cleaning duties when required.

The main responsibility of the headwaiter is the order taking and calling away the tables to ensure a good tempo within the section and return the tables on time. PRE SERVICE R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S o Allocating duties for CDR o Clean linen count and storage o Refilling the stations with printer rolls, pdq rolls and order pads o Checking the tables allocation with the front desk and update the floor o Check olive oil, salt and pepper, oregano and sauces levels and cleanliness o Check CDR duties and stations ready for service o Attend the pre service briefing SERVICE R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S o Assist the hostess/ host to seat the customers o Great the guests and take the drinks order if the waiter is busy with another table o Place the drinks order with position numbers o If the waiter is busy with another table serve the drinks o Explain the menu and specials if any o Check with the waiter if any information was given to him by the guest before approaching the table for the order o Take the food order (check for allergies or intolerance) o Place the order on Micros o Check the mise en place and make sure enough space has been made for the food in the middle of the table o Assist the CDR serving the food at the table o Call the hot starters away o When a table is having cold and hot starters always refresh the plates between the course o Once the starters finished call the mains away and clear the table with the CDR and make sure the mise en place is correct for the mains o After the mains make sure the table is cleared, crumbed and table cloth replaced before the dessert menus are being handed o Make sure the dessert and coffee order has been placed by the waiter o Once the coffees and desserts order check the bill on micros and add the BILL CHECKED item this way everyone knows the bill is ok to be dropped, check with the sommelier in case the WINE CHECK hasn’t been done. POST SERVICE R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S o Check the station has been emptied by the waiter o Make sure all your bills are closed and handover your bills to the closing manager o If any open comp tables check each of them with the managers o Handover the station tips to the closing manager
