Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Specialist Location: Sunbury-on-Thames + Nationwide Travel Role Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive depending on experience Our client, an established aerospace manufacturing firm in Sunbury-on-Thames, require an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join their multi-disciplined team. Candidates would need to have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for BPSS security clearance. What the role of the Senior Supplier Quality Specialist entails: Some of the main duties of the Senior Supplier Quality Specialist will include: • Responsible for the Company’s Supplier Audit management plan in accordance with the business requirements, • Develop and maintain the Supplier monitoring process through using analytical techniques including enhancing the Supplier scorecard and other business KPI’s deemed appropriate., • Ensure all Supplier Quality System documentation is maintained and in accordance with the Supplier Quality Manual, • Maintain the Approved Supplier Listing, scope of Supply, frequency of review etc, • Expertise to carry out robust problem solving using 8D Root Cause, Corrective action with Suppliers, • Improve Supplier Quality Metrics ensuring non-conformances are subject to disposition in a timely manner., • Drive Improvements to the Supplier Quality metrics with rigorous improvement to Root Cause identification and robust corrective Action closure., • Promote / Support Continuous improvement / lean practices with the Supply Chain, • Competent in conducting audits on Supplier Sites, • Support the Supplier selection strategy for current and New Product Introduction, • Support 3rd party audits as required What experience you need to be the successful Senior Supplier Quality Specialist: • A proven track record and extensive experience working in a Supplier Quality role within a dynamic manufacturing environment, • Understanding of regulatory requirements appertaining the supply of product for the Aerospace and Defence industries, • Familiar with the AS 9100 and FAA standards/regulations, • Excellent stakeholder management & customer / supplier facing skills, • Significant Microsoft office skills, including creation of Excel spreadsheets, • Good command of the English language and very articulate, • Good presentation and communication skills to groups of around 10 people and to senior management, • Able to write comprehensive reports This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to progress their career.
