The Role: As the Accountant – Shared Service, you will provide transactional financial support to entities within the EMEA region, including the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Belgium. This is a 3-month fixed-term temporary role within our EMEA Shared Services team, based at Four Ashes. You will deliver high-quality support to in-country and plant controllers, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting activities. Your responsibilities will include supporting the monthly close cycle, financial and statutory reporting, and adherence to policy and control frameworks. You will prepare account reconciliations for review by in-country controllers, with success measured by real-time transaction processing that enables a fast, accurate, and no-surprise monthly close. How You Will Make an Impact: · Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and master data. · Execute monthly closing steps, including plant settlements, accruals, and depreciation. · Prepare and post journals with appropriate authorization and supporting documentation. · Prepare capital expenditure reports and support Global Capex and Inventory Controller activities. · Perform GRIR reclassifications and reconciliations. · Produce and distribute weekly production variance reports and monthly financial reports. · Prepare balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline, ensuring accuracy and completeness. · Coordinate timely research and resolution of reconciliation issues. · Support financial and statutory reporting requirements and policy compliance. · Assist with audit requests and provide necessary documentation. · Collaborate effectively with in-country controllers, plant controllers, and other members of the Shared Services team. · Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including additional shared site accounting responsibilities. Creating Extraordinary Starts With: · Part-qualified accountant minimum (ACCA/CIMA). · Strong analytical and presentation skills. · Experience using SAP (essential). · International accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting and analysis. · Experience working for a manufacturing organisation (desirable). · Experience with integrated, computerised accounting systems. · Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly. · Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. · Inquisitive and innovative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement. · Proficiency in English is required.
