You will support Manchester operations, to ensure all legislative issues concerning Health, Safety, Fire and Evacuation Procedures, Welfare at Work, Quality, Food Safety and Management of environment are integrated into the operational practices of across the UK network. You will support the implementation of effective management systems to support risk management and controlling continuous improvement of QHSE performance. You will ensure the unit and its assets are always safe and secure whilst ensuring compliance to planned plant and equipment service and maintenance schedules. Reports to: Unit Manager Based at: Newrest, Manchester Pay: Circa £38,000 Role and Responsibilities Interpret the requirements of ISO Standards to assist with the design and development of the quality and compliance management systems processes. Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System. These requirements must be implemented and maintained in all existing and new sites. Plan and maintain the annual internal audit schedule, logs and monitors nonconformities and corrective actions and perform/review corrective action effectiveness and verification Deal with local authorities EHO, DEFRA etc when on site ensuring the unit is compliant Prepare the site for Customer audits and visits ensure any non-conformities are dealt with in a time manner. Work alongside the UK security Manager to ensure the unit is compliant on CAA. requirements and that internal security audits are completed as per schedule and results communicated to the unit Manager. Plan, conduct and audit Fire Drills and co-ordinate periodic checks with local Fire Services including Fire Marshall training. Plan and execute internal risk-based audits in-keeping with aspects defined by risk managers, including HACCP, QMS and HSE. Review audit findings, finalise conclusions and report results for management review. Provide early warning to senior management on matters requiring regulatory escalation Perform gap analysis and define training content. Develop a training plan and update training materials for internal training on food hygiene, for Health and Safety induction, for HACCP, Quality and Environment compliance. Produce QHSE compliance reports for Management review, adhere to monthly schedule of Food Safety, Quality and H&S ensuring all tasks completed on a timely manner, Respond to food safety customer complaints through though investigations including completing root cause analysis Lead investigations in case of food poisoning or other illness/injury of staff, Collect on a monthly basis data on work related absences, measure accidents rates and ensure all corrective actions are in place. Contribute to the development and implementation of criteria for suppliers selection and audit. Conduct research to improve processes and inform policy and/procedure changes. Communicate and share the quality strategy to key stakeholders. Any other duties as requested by your line manager. Benefits: Average 40 hours per week. Experience in catering and or hospitality desirable. Ability to travel across the UK. Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology whilst managing operational, organisational and financial elements. Good business acumen, including written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Demonstrated success managing new initiatives while meeting operating and budgetary requirements. Inspects community, tour units and leasing materials are available and takes action to ensure they meet agreed standards for viewings Actively understands, updates and improves knowledge of community, amenities, units and local area features. Delivers all aspects of customer service, including a comprehensive front of house service anticipating and exceeding resident expectations. Supports Resident events and activities within the Community Assists with Community preparations, including move-in and move-out processes. Develops and maintains local knowledge and information resources relevant to resident needs i.e. travel, entertainment and amenities. Screens property visitors, guests and contractors Responds positively to customer queries and complaints, identifying and undertaking appropriate action in line with Greystars complaints procedure. Works as part of a team, supporting and respecting other team members, to deliver exceptional resident living. Completes Health and Safety compliance activities in line with the Companys policies and procedures Completes administrative tasks including logging of maintenance requests, filing and preparing notices and updating of databases. Register, secure and correctly issue Resident parcels/deliveries Proactively attends to or organises ad hoc or minor cleaning requirements. About You Good level of general education Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. Proficiency in using property operations software. Training will however, be provided. Essential Excellent customer service skills and significant experience in a sales role in a similar world-class accommodation/hospitality/leisure or reservations/membership environment. The ability to influence, adapt at pace and be motivated by exceeding customer service and sales targets Evidence of organisation skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Culturally aware and able to adapt relationship building, communications and negotiation skills to suit audience.
