Overview Gallagher helps people and businesses stay protected from potential risks and threats. Gallagher's Specialty Broking team helps businesses secure insurance for complex or unusual situations in specific sectors. If a company faces special risks, such as operating an airline or constructing skyscrapers, Gallagher Specialty finds the proper insurance to protect them. We ensure businesses are protected for things that regular insurance may not cover. Think of us as experts who solve complicated insurance problems! How you'll make an impact We’re looking for 10 talented individuals to join our Gallagher Specialty insurance team, helping businesses protect what matters most. As part of our Specialty Early Careers Academy, you'll: • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and safeguard them against risks. For example, you might advise a company with a fleet of delivery trucks on how to protect against accidents and theft., • Support your team by preparing documents for renewals, proposals, and presentations. You could help gather project details for a construction company and create a professional proposal for their insurance renewal., • Build strong relationships with insurers to secure the best outcomes for clients. This might involve negotiating lower premiums or broader cover for a tech firm concerned about cyberattacks., • Take ownership and solve real-world problems. If a client faces an unexpected event, such as a warehouse fire, you’ll help them file a claim quickly and ensure they receive the support they need., • Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities. For instance, you might review aviation industry claims data and use the insights to recommend more effective coverage options., • Receive individual mentoring and workshops on personal effectiveness, Hands-on experience working with real clients, and the opportunity to earn a professional qualification (Diploma in Insurance)., • GCSEs (4–9) in English and Maths, • Predicted a minimum of three A-Levels at grade CCC or above (or equivalent), • Communication skills and a real drive to achieve goals. This is important because you may need to explain a complex insurance policy to a client in simple terms, ensuring they fully understand how it protects their business. At the same time, you’d work hard to negotiate the best deal for them with insurers, showing your determination to get great results., • A team player who’s curious, reliable, and ready to grow. You could work with your team on a big project, like creating a proposal for a new client in the energy sector. You’d ask questions to learn more about the industry, complete your tasks on time, and support your teammates to ensure the project's success., • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability, which are crucial skills for the role. For example, while reviewing a client’s insurance policy, you might identify a gap in their coverage that could leave them vulnerable to risks. You would highlight the issue, propose a solution, and collaborate with your team to address it before it becomes a problem., • Confident using Microsoft Office, as you’ll be using Excel to analyse claims data for a client, create a PowerPoint presentation to showcase your findings, and write a professional email in Word to share the results with your team and the client., • Eligible to work in the UK What’s the process? • Submit Your Application: Complete our online application form by January 31, 2026.
