Year 1/2 Teacher – Primary Shoreham, West Sussex Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Summer Term Start £130 – £232.57 per day (dependent on experience/responsibilities) Supply Desk are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner primary schools in Shoreham, West Sussex. This full‑time role begins from the Summer Term and offers an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing KS1 environment that prioritises creativity, child development, and high‑quality teaching. In this role, you will deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons to a mixed Year 1/2 class, ensuring pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work closely with the KS1 team, support staff, and senior leaders to plan effectively, assess pupil progress, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child can thrive. Your focus will be on promoting strong early literacy and numeracy skills, fostering curiosity, and helping pupils develop the confidence and independence needed for smooth progression through the primary curriculum. Key Skills & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching within KS1. Strong understanding of the Year 1 and Year 2 curriculum, including phonics and early maths strategies. Ability to differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs within a mixed-age class. Effective behaviour management and a warm, consistent approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
