The Role The Electrical Project Manager is a critical position with clearly defined responsibilities that ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position requires close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle. These include; internal and external designers, architects, the estimating team, key account leads, commercial teams (both in-house and client-side), subcontractors, manufacturers, specialist suppliers, client representatives, commissioning teams, and high-profile customers. The successful candidate will play a key role from initial concept and design development through to project delivery, ensuring each project is completed, handed over, and closed out professionally and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities • Estimating and delivering multiple fast track small works within live environments., • Delivering electrical projects to an extremely high standard., • Client facing and with a keen focus on customer care in all instances., • Chair meetings to drive outcomes, ensuring the production of accurate records of discussions, actions and deadlines., • Liaison with designers, estimating and commercial teams., • Understand the client's requirement, technical specifications, drawings and project requirement holistically., • RIBA design, delivery, and project commissioning stages., • Identify, manage and escalate risks where necessary., • Contribute and manage against the sequence of works for the project programme., • Drive the project programme, ensuring key milestones are maintained., • Spotting potential points of failure and react accordingly., • Prepare and present regular progress reports including programme drop lines to project stakeholders., • Produce onsite dilapidations and completion of validations., • Development and submit of RFIs, TQs, VOs and driving close out of items raised., • Technical Submission procedures and sign off., • Highlighting risks, manage variations, delays and EOT requirements, liaising with internal QS’s to ensure that the business is commercially protected., • Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants., • Co-ordination of work packages, understanding the interaction of trades and the ability to foresee potential issues., • Lead by example, promote the highest of standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances., • Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor responsibilities under appointment., • Generate new opportunities, upsell the business, secure additional works where possible, act on opportunities to reduce cost, add value and maximise profit., • Ensure all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are robust, up to date, understood and implemented., • Ordering materials for projects., • Issuing purchase orders to supply chains and ensure better buying process are adhered to., • Produce Health and Safety packs as required., • Ensure that all site records are kept up to date in line with company and legislative requirements., • Ensure all persons working on site have the correct training for the role they are carrying out., • Completion of testing documentation and other relevant record information and upload to company Dutiful system., • Carry out site surveys to establish SoW for costing purposes., • Ensure accurate recording of the correct working hours associated to each project worked on., • Drive Project delivery through correct labour allocation and requirements. Key Requirements • Proven track record of estimating and delivering multiple fast track small works within live environments., • A Project Management qualification, such as Prince2 (Desirable)., • Mechanical Knowledge (Desirable)., • Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification., • 18th Edition Certificate., • AM2S Certificate., • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when required., • A UK Driving Licence., • A valid ECS black card., • Testing and Inspection 2391 Certificate., • Experience of Microsoft packages, including Projects., • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and regulations/guidelines., • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills., • Proven ability to manage teams and operatives. Ensure security in the range and have awareness of current and potential factors contributing to the disruption of supply. Create a 12 calendar month plan, taking into account seasonality, sales trends, external factors, bank holidays, new customers, new products, promotions., • Supplier Approval - ensure all suppliers are approved (including food safety, health & safety and environmental risks) via the company Compliance approval process., • Supplier & Procurement Policy – ensure the Supplier & Procurement policy, SOPs are followed., • Product Range – source new products and ensure the product range is on brand/ aligned to Woods core values and conduct research to source the best products and suppliers that align with this whilst keeping in mind: quality, value, sustainability credentials, terms, security of supplier/disruption of supply. Determine which products are ‘story-line’ high quality products, standards products, KVPs. Ensure all Key Value Products (KVPs) are bought at the lowest possible price., • Sourcing – of products directly from manufacturers / growers., • Innovation – keep up to date with food/customer/consumer trends, innovations and new technology that can impact the business., • Tenders - run tenders, evaluate bids, and make range recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors., • Pricing Lists – create pricing lists to maximise profit for your Category (approved by Commercial Director), forecast price trends and their impact on the business, ensuring the company remains profitable. They are looking for a proactive and organised Account Manager to join their team. In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their requests and queries are handled efficiently, professionally, and accurately.
