Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing Permanent Night Shift Overview This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking to work a shift based role with a major manufacturing company in the area. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be joining an stable and experienced team where you will play a key part in company growth. Main priorities for the maintenance engineer will include ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained. Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer • Proactive maintenance and site PMs, • Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly, • Working across both electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance, • Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations), • Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output, • Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer • Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject, • Experience working in a Multi skilled role across mechanical and electrical engineering, • Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment. ROLE- Technical Design Engineer LOCATION- Blackburn TERM- Permanent SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience My client is a manufacturer of bespoke products. They are looking for a Technical Design Engineer to join their team in Blackburn on a permanent basis. The Technical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar, • Experience with large scale assembly work, • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a similar Design position, • Previous experience designing bespoke/precision products and mechanics, in professional or educational setting or in your spare time, • Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor etc., • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles, tight tolerances and machinery, • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills, • Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Technical Design Engineer role will involve: • Using SolidWorks on a daily basis for concept design and producing technical drawings, • Developing ideas from concept to production, • Creating models/prototypes, • Liaising with clients and developing solutions, • Liaising with manufacturing providers, • completing large scale assembly work, • Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans, • Updating 3D models and drawings, • Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs, • Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects, • Maintaining technical drawings and documentation, • Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
