Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and develop logistics and warehousing operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, finished goods, and third-party logistics services are managed efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, supporting seamless factory operations and production schedules. Working closely with senior manufacturing leadership, the Logistics Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving processes, and leading high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all logistics and warehouse activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, • Oversee relationships and performance of third-party logistics providers, ensuring service levels and commercial agreements are met, • Develop, maintain, and improve logistics processes, creating clear training materials and procedural documentation where required, • Ensure inventory movements and logistics planning are accurately controlled using ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, • Manage, motivate, and develop logistics and warehouse teams to deliver high standards of performance and engagement, • Plan and coordinate factory logistics to support production schedules while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost control, • Monitor and drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and warehousing operations, • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, • Work collaboratively with manufacturing leadership to align logistics activities with wider production objectives Skills & Experience • Proven experience in a senior logistics or warehouse management role within a manufacturing environment, • Demonstrable experience managing teams and leading operational change, • Strong background in logistics planning, warehouse operations, and inventory control, • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL), • Confident user of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners, • Commercially aware, with a clear understanding of cost control, efficiency, and operational risk, • Experience within timber frame or similar manufacturing sectors is advantageous but not essential Ref:4115IG
