Fleet & Compliance Manager Full-time | Permanent | Office-based – Ibstock, Leicestershire Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + bonus An established UK business operating in the off-highway services sector is seeking a highly capable Fleet & Compliance Manager to take full ownership of fleet compliance and lead operational safety across the organisation. This is a senior, hands-on role with real responsibility and influence. You will play a critical part in ensuring a large nationwide fleet operates safely, legally, and efficiently, while embedding strong safety standards across fleet, site, and operational activities. The Opportunity This role offers the chance to step into a highly visible leadership position where your expertise will directly impact safety, performance, and compliance. You will work closely with operational teams, mechanics, and leadership, acting as the central authority for fleet compliance and operational safety. What’s on Offer • Salary up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, • Annual performance bonus, • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, • Monday to Friday working hours, 8am–5pm, • Permanent contract, • Office-based role in Ibstock, Leicestershire, • Company pension scheme, • Gym membership, • On-site parking, • Sick pay, • A senior, hands-on role combining fleet management and operational safety leadership Key Responsibilities Fleet & Transport Compliance • Take full ownership of fleet compliance across LCVs and HGVs, ensuring all vehicles are legal, roadworthy, and audit-ready at all times, • Maintain full Operator Licence compliance, including PMIs, MOTs, brake testing, tachograph calibration, and all associated records, • Monitor driver hours, Working Time Directive compliance, and tachograph infringements, implementing corrective and preventative actions, • Champion safety across fleet, site, and wider operational activities, • Write, review, and issue practical, operation-led toolbox talks and method statements, • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, investigation, and trend analysis, ensuring learning is embedded across the business, • Maintain compliance documentation across internal systems and external platforms, including FORS, customer PQQs, and construction databases, • Use telematics and operational data to monitor driver behaviour, fleet KPIs, and safety trends, turning insight into action, • Coordinate inductions, compliance training, and refresher training for drivers, fitters, and operational staff, • Respond effectively to breakdowns, audits, and compliance issues, ensuring swift resolution with minimal operational impact, • Work closely with the Transport Administrator, Lead Mechanic, and Workshop Assistants to ensure smooth fleet operations About You You are a practical, confident, and detail-driven professional with strong experience in fleet and transport compliance. You understand the realities of operational environments and are comfortable influencing teams, setting standards, and challenging unsafe or non-compliant practices when required. You will bring: • Proven experience in fleet, transport, or operational compliance management (LCV and HGV), • Strong working knowledge of Operator Licence requirements, drivers’ hours, and tachograph regulations, • Experience applying safety controls in real operational environments, • The ability to write clear, practical toolbox talks and method statements based on real work activities, • Confidence supporting audits and inspections, • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, • Transport Manager CPC Location & Working Pattern This is a fully office-based role located in Ibstock, Leicestershire.
