About the Role Our client is a growing renewable energy business that develops, owns, and operates solar projects delivering reliable, clean power to businesses and communities. With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are focused on accelerating the transition to affordable renewable energy. We are now seeking a commercially driven individual to join their team, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. This is a highly visible and varied role, offering the opportunity to work across all areas of the business and play a key part in driving growth. Key Responsibilities • Support the development of new solar and battery storage opportunities through detailed financial modelling and project appraisal, • Provide insights on project returns and identify opportunities to enhance value and optimise performance, • Lead on Corporate PPA (CPPA) negotiations, including internal forecasting and financial modelling, • Monitor performance across long-term PPAs, including merchant and partially merchant exposure, • Act as the key point of contact with LCCC in relation to CfD contracts, • Maintain and enhance investment appraisal models in line with market conditions (e.g. power prices, interest rates), • Lead the preparation of investment committee papers, coordinating inputs from cross-functional teams, • Track project IRRs, identifying risks and opportunities to protect or improve returns, • Produce regular reporting on project performance, including variance analysis and key drivers, • Support financial due diligence activities for M&A opportunities, • Work closely with Finance to provide insights for monthly reporting and performance analysis, • Collaborate with Origination, Development, Asset Management, Finance, and Legal teams across the full PPA lifecycle, • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel capability, • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy mechanisms including PPAs, CfDs, ROCs, and REGOs, • Experience in structuring and executing CPPAs and/or CfD-related agreements, • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate data into actionable xrnqpay insights, • Proven experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams, • Competitive salary and benefits package, • Strong opportunities for career progression and professional development, • Collaborative and inclusive working environment, • The opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a forward-thinking renewable energy business, • A chance to make a meaningful impact on the transition to clean energy
