TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our external construction client. Our client is well-regarded for their expertise in civil engineering, drilling, and utility services. You will be responsible for managing cost and value aspects of a high-value infrastructure project. This is a predominantly site-based role in the North East, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. Skills, Qualifications & Experience: • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline., • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or subcontractor., • Background in large-scale civil engineering projects., • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts., • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications., • Experienced in subcontractor management, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timelines., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills., • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude; capable of working independently and within a team., • Full UK driving licence., • Legal right to work in the UK without restrictions (sponsorship not available). Responsibilities: • Maintain clear, collaborative communication with key stakeholders including the Client, Project Manager, Managing QS, and engineering teams., • Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and present findings, risks, and opportunities to Senior Management., • Submit accurate and timely Applications for Payment in line with contract requirements., • Oversee commercial management of subcontractors, including payment assessments, compensation events, and final account agreements., • Attend and contribute to client meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism., • Provide monthly project cash flow forecasts to the Managing Quantity Surveyor., • Identify contractual risks and opportunities, ensuring clear communication with the wider team., • Promote and support the consistent application of the Integrated Management System across all project activities.
