Ie Bridges, staircases, gantries. (Road & Rail) Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery. Working from engineering drawings & specifications. Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings. Welding to a high quality. Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling. Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed: Confident plater or fabricator Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications Confident MIG Welder Experience operating fabrication machinery Must have worked within a heavy steel industry Confident working from engineering drawings from scratchNVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding or Plating would be expected.
