This is a specialist interim assignment focusing specifically on the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). We are looking for a senior finance professional who can hit the ground running to finalize budget proposals for 2026/27 and oversee the long-term financial health of the housing stock. Working Arrangements • Rate: £600.00 per day (Inside IR35)., • flexibility: This role offers excellent work-life balance, requiring only one day per week in the Uxbridge office, with the remainder remote. Key Deliverables As the lead on the revenue side of the HRA, you will be working toward the February 2026 Cabinet and Council deadlines. Your core responsibilities will include: • Strategic Planning: Updating and maintaining the HRA 30-year Business Plan, ensuring it reflects the current economic climate and service needs., • Capital Integration: Collaborating closely with the Capital Finance Business Partnering Team. You will ensure the revenue implications of acquisitions, developments, and works to stock are accurately captured in the financial strategy., • Year-End Closure: Leading the closing of the HRA accounts for the 2025/26 financial year, including the preparation of notes for the statement of accounts., • Team Leadership: You will manage, mentor, and develop two Assistant Finance Business Partners (one currently finalizing their AAT). A passion for developing junior talent is essential. The Candidate To be considered for this role, prior knowledge and experience of the HRA is essential. We are looking for a candidate who can: • Demonstrate a deep understanding of HRA regulations, rent setting, and 30-year business planning models., • Bridge the gap between finance and service leads, providing robust challenge and support to budget managers., • Step into a line management role immediately, providing guidance to a developing team.
