We are undertaking a major workforce transformation, moving from a predominantly agency-worker model to direct employment. Job summaryThe Trust is seeking to recruit a consultant psychiatrist to join Brookfield Centre, a locked rehabilitation unit for patients with Learning Disability with or without Autism. This is a full time post and the post holder will be working at Brookfield Centre for 32 hours per week, and at Sutton End community residential placement in Maidstone for 8 hours per week. The Appointee will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team on Brookfield Centre and provide care and treatment of 13 inpatients. This includes restricted and non-restricted patients. Your responsibilities may include: Supporting children with their day-to-day care and routines Promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing Providing emotional and practical support Supporting communication and social development Assisting with personal care where required Supporting children to access activities and the wider community Following individual care plans and risk assessments Maintaining a safe, positive and nurturing environment Working effectively as part of a wider care team Maintaining accurate and professional records Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must : Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and/or young people with autism or complex needs Have full rights to work full-time in the UK Hold a DBS registered on the Update Service , or be willing to obtain a new DBS check Have a caring, patient and professional approach Be reliable, responsible and able to work as part of a team Have the flexibility to work across homes in Liverpool and the Wirral Why Join Us?
