Position: Network Engineer Location: Wokingham (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Day Rate: £460 p.d inside IR35 SC Clearance Required We're supporting a central government department seeking an experienced Network Engineer to deliver secure, reliable network services across a complex environment. Role Overview: • Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN solutions., • Monitor and optimise network performance., • Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls., • Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams., • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure projects., • Perform hardware/software upgrades and patching., • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP., • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network hardware., • Familiarity with firewalls and security appliances., • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)., • Cloud networking exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Demonstration of accountability to see issues through to successful resolutions. Experience of working a 2nd line Out Of Hours support rota, site attendance may be required.
