Packaging Manager FMCG Manufacturing Location: Tiverton Salary: £50,000 £58,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-time) The Role We are recruiting a Packaging Manager on behalf of a leading FMCG manufacturing business operating a high-volume bottling facility. This role is responsible for managing packaging operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager with a strong background in continuous improvement and automated packaging environments. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all packaging operations within a fast-paced FMCG bottling plant, • Ensure production plans are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards, • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies, • Manage team performance, training, engagement, and succession planning, • Monitor and improve KPIs including efficiency, waste, downtime, and cost, • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards, • Use SAP or similar ERP systems for planning, reporting, and stock control, • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, • Proven experience in a Packaging Manager or senior packaging leadership role, • Background within FMCG manufacturing, ideally high-volume or automated packaging, • Strong working knowledge of CI / Lean / Six Sigma, • Experience using SAP or comparable ERP systems, • Confident people leader with strong communication and decision-making skills, • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline, • Or professional management qualifications such as ILM, CIM, or equivalent, • Competitive salary: £50,000 £58,000 DOE, • Company pension scheme, • Private medical insurance & life insurance, • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave, • Cycle-to-work scheme & employee discounts, • Free on-site parking, • Sick pay and wellbeing support JBRP1_UKTJ
