The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for young people or adults with disabilities. The Client The client is an outgoing 19 year old Male, who is a wheelchair user, and communicates using an eye gaze. The Client lives with his family in Saxmundham. He is dependent on his support workers to promote his safety and assist with the activities of daily living. Social and recreational pursuits are an important element of the client's care, as he enjoys socialising with friends, going to concerts and attending social clubs. The Role The role of the candidate will be, both to provide direct two-to-one care for the client in the home and community, and 1:1 care at night as an oncall sleep in shift. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional and a team player, with a passion to provide high quality care. Direct Care The candidate will work alongside another support worker to deliver the following care to the client: personal care, medication administration, and meeting manual handling needs.
