Skills & Experience Essential: · 3-5 years in 2nd line IT support or senior service desk roles. · Strong troubleshooting in Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Azure AD, and business systems. · Experience with CRM or similar platforms. · Proven documentation skills and ability to resolve user issues. · Mentoring or supporting junior staff. · Excellent communication for explaining tech to non-technical users. Desirable: · Multi-company or multi-brand experience. · Familiarity with Jira Service Management or ITSM tools. · Hands-on with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics). · Knowledge of change control and governance. · ITIL Foundation or similar certification. What we’re looking for · College BTEC, A-Levels, or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or a related subject (or equivalent experience). · 1–2 years’ experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering, or relevant apprenticeship/coursework/portfolio work for entry-level candidates. · Basic hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. · Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server administration, networking, and virtualisation. · Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and tools (firewalls, antivirus, SIEM). · Developing troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and follow standards. · Ability to document processes and maintain technical records with guidance and communicate effectively in a team. Relevant certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Security+, or similar are desirable but not essential. An established and growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Drainage Engineer to join its Manchester team. Due to continued project wins and an expanding workload across the North West, this is a key hire within the civil engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to lead drainage and utility design across a diverse portfolio of developments including residential, commercial, industrial, education and urban regeneration schemes. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from planning through to construction, while also playing an important role in mentoring junior staff and supporting commercial delivery.
