Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham to recruit a Night Shift Supervisor. \n \n This is a great opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor who enjoys being hands-on within a manufacturing environment and wants to take ownership of a night shift operation. \n You’ll be responsible for leading the night shift across a number of production areas, including machining, ensuring the team delivers against Safety, Quality, Delivery and Efficiency targets. \n \n Night Shift Supervisor \n Rotherham \n Permanent Nights – Sunday-Thursday \n Salary: £50,000 \n \n Key responsibilities of the Night Shift Supervisor include: \n\n • Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 employees across the night shift\n, • Plan, schedule and review workloads to ensure production and on-time delivery targets are achieved\n, • Monitor daily production performance and report against agreed KPIs\n, • Drive improvements across Quality, OTD and OEE\n, • Monitor product quality and take corrective action where required\n, • Champion a strong safety-first culture, ensuring H&S procedures are consistently followed\n, • Support continuous improvement activity across the operation\n, • Develop, coach and motivate employees to improve individual and team performance\n, • Maintain training and competency levels across the department\n, • Work closely with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, R&D, Purchasing and HR\n\n \n We’re keen to speak to experienced Night Shift Supervisors with the following skills & experience: \n\n • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within manufacturing\n, • A hands-on leadership style and the confidence to take ownership of a shift\n, • Experience working within machining, engineering or a production environment\n, • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills\n, • An understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, productivity, quality and on-time delivery\n, • Knowledge of continuous improvement, TPM or preventative maintenance would be beneficial\n, • Good IT skills, including Excel and production reporting\n, • The ability to motivate, engage and develop a team\n, • A positive, proactive and organised approach\n, • Confidence and proven ability to lead a shift unsupervised\n\n \n This would suit an established Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Team Leader looking for a role where they can have genuine ownership of the night shift and play a key part in improving operational performance.
