Role overview: As a Senior Account Manager at Go Places, you will be responsible for the commercial success of some of our largest and most important brands. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the key external stakeholders at the brand, meeting with them regularly and acting as their main point of contact at Go Places. You will also represent the brand internally, ensuring that the content we produce aligns with their strategy, brand ethos and tone of voice. Crucially, you will own brand budgets, working closely with our revenue acceleration team to decide how to deploy marketing funds to maximise performance. You will need to develop an understanding of the financial side of Social Commerce to deliver profitable growth for both Go Places and the brand themselves. A senior leader at one of the firms I work with said something recently that stuck with me: "The median researcher adds zero value." He wasn't being provocative for the sake of it, if you think about it. Most quant researchers at most firms are working on the same low-hanging fruit, on overlapping research, competing internally for the same capacity, hedged into irrelevance by a risk framework designed to protect the platform from them rather than empower them. He went on to describe the kind of person he actually wants to hire, and it was pretty specific: Someone who finds genuine satisfaction in the work itself. Not the comp table (appreciating that no-one works for free, right!), not the brand... Quant researchers who read JVM optimisation papers because they want to understand why their backtest is slow, not just that it's slow. Developers who dig into market microstructure literature because they want to understand what their execution code is actually doing, not just that it works. The kind of person whose curiosity bleeds across disciplines; researchers who think like engineers, engineers who think like traders, because they've figured out that the interesting problems live at the boundaries, not inside the silos. Someone with enough intellectual disagreeableness to challenge assumptions in a room full of people, because they care more about being right than being liked. And critically, someone who has actually delivered something, personally, not just improved or maintained what was already there. If that sounds like something you have thought about, and perhaps at some level agree with, maybe we should chat. Account Manager – London (The Strand) 📍 Location: The Strand ⏳ Contract: Full-time, Permanent, on-site ⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday (9am – 6pm) 💰 £25k DOE + uncapped commission + bonus Ready for the business side of property? If you’re already in property or you’ve been a negotiator and want a change without stepping away from the industry this could be the move that actually makes sense. This is an opportunity to join the head office of one of London’s most established estate agency networks, working at the heart of the business rather than on the shop floor. You’ll be supporting a portfolio of offices, helping them win instructions, grow stock levels and ultimately perform better all while developing a much deeper understanding of the commercial side of property. It’s not cold sales. It’s advisory, relationship-led and strategic. The role You’ll operate like a mini business owner, managing around 10–12 offices and building strong relationships with office directors and managers. Your role is two-pronged: • Business development – speaking with vendors, landlords and developers to generate valuations and instructions for your offices, • Account management – working closely with subscribing offices to maximise opportunities and results Calls are outbound and database-driven, but the approach is intelligent and well-timed, not aggressive, not pushy. It’s about knowing who to call, why you’re calling and adding value. You’ll have autonomy to manage your day, with clear targets, structured training and ongoing support. We're growing fast and we're looking for a driven, commercially-minded marketer to own our direct sales channels — website, TikTok Shop, and paid social. This isn't a brand awareness role. This is about revenue.
