The Property Group The work of the Property Group encompasses a broad range of work for private individuals, companies (including property development companies and investment vehicles and commercial businesses requiring premises for their own occupation) charities, private banks and high profile organisations and individuals. The work involves mainly properties in London and the South East of England. It covers offices, shops and residential development. While the focus of the Group is on commercial clients, we act in conjunction with our Private Client Team for clients of the firm on the acquisition of homes mainly in the high end market. The role We are looking for a Property Paralegal to join us on an initial 12-month FTC. The work will involve assisting solicitors in the group, preparing and drafting documentation for execution by clients, obtaining copy documentation from local authorities and other agencies, research, dealing with Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns and Land Registry applications, file opening and searches, pre and post completion work on transactions. The work will involve both residential and commercial property with an opportunity to be involved in the preparation of reports for clients on leasehold and freehold acquisitions. Skills required • Strong technical skills with experience of using Excel, Word, Outlook, • Some familiarity with Land Registry, HMRC and search provider websites, • Excellent time management and organisational skill, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Works well under pressure, • Adaptable and flexible, • Team player, • Confident and enthusiastic, • Positive and proactive approach to your work
