The Business Tax Senior Manager will oversee and manage a portfolio of business tax clients, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with current regulations. \n Client Details \n This opportunity is with a top 30 accountancy firm based in Gatwick. The organisation is a medium-sized company with a strong reputation for providing high-quality tax and financial services to a diverse client base. \n Description \n\n • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax compliance work, including responsibility for WIP management and billing.\n, • Advising and assisting OMB's in respect of their business and tax requirements for example succession planning, remuneration planning, timing of capital expenditure\n, • Advising and supporting entrepreneurial businesses throughout their lifecycle including on protecting and leveraging IP and associated restructurings, determining the right business structure, incentivising staff, growing internationally and building and protecting value for the shareholders.\n, • Advise on the tax elements of equity incentivisation, such as the EMI option scheme\n, • Proactively involved in networking, proposals and growing the corporate tax portfolio in Gatwick.\n, • Identifying opportunities for tax planning, risk mitigation and cross-selling between service lines to ensure clients receive a proactive and effective service\n, • Training and mentoring junior colleagues within the Business Tax Team\n, • Ensuring the Firm's technical, ethical, risk and compliance procedures are adhered to in all cases.\n\n \n Profile \n A successful Business Tax Senior Manager should have: \n \n\n • Qualified accountant and/or CIOT qualified tax adviser with qualified experience in a tax related role.\n, • Corporate tax technical and practical knowledge, including tax accounting.\n, • Good knowledge of tax issues affecting OMB's and their shareholders.\n, • Knowledge of other business taxes and tax reporting processes\n, • Experience of working with corporate and entrepreneurial clients and managing at a senior level\n, • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and competent in interpreting accounts and other financial information\n, • Strong IT skills including MS Office. The role provides senior technical accounting expertise across statutory reporting, audit, compliance and internal controls, while working closely with the wider business to strengthen financial reporting and governance. A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement, improving processes and ensuring the finance function operates with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and control. \n Client Details \n Global business, near Crawley. \n Description \n \n\n • Lead the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and audit-ready reporting.\n, • Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and the resolution of financial reporting issues.\n, • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the external audit process through to completion.\n, • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, SOX requirements and wider governance frameworks.\n, • Identify financial and operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and improvements where required.\n, • Prepare and oversee external and regulatory reporting, including statutory filings.\n, • Work closely with shared services, tax, payroll and wider finance teams to ensure a smooth and effective reporting process.\n, • Drive continuous improvement across accounting, reporting and finance processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls.\n, • Undertake credit risk analysis and due diligence to support working capital and business decisions.\n, • Act as a senior Finance Business Partner, providing financial insight, challenge and support to key stakeholders.\n, • Support and develop the Assistant Financial Accountant, providing mentoring, guidance and technical expertise.\n, • Represent Financial Accounting on cross-functional projects, providing subject matter expertise on complex accounting matters.\n, • Provide leadership and cover for the wider Financial Accounting function when required.\n\n \n Profile \n A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have: \n\n • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.\n, • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including relevant standards and regulations.\n, • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.\n\n Job Offer \n £75,000 - £85,000 + Fantasic Benefits
