Head of Finance – Slough SL1 \n £90,000–£110,000 + 20% bonus + car allowance + medical + pension | Hybrid (3 days on site) \n Equifind are delighted to be partnering with a Logistics business based in Slough, who are looking to recruit a qualified Head of Finance who will report to the Finance Director. This is an exciting and newly created position, joining a team of 30 accountants and managing 5 people directly. \n If you’re energised by change, confident challenging the status quo, and motivated by building high-performing teams, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a respected, stable business. \n The role would suit someone with a strong technical accounting background, confident across statutory accounting, IFRS, and consolidations, combined with strong people skills and a genuine appetite for transformation and change. You'll need to have experience working within a large multi-entity business (ideally £200-400mil T/O) with experience of lease and asset accounting. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Lead the finance, accounting, payroll, and reporting functions, driving financial performance, profitability, and delivery of strategic objectives.\n, • Oversee monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, tax computations, budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.\n, • Own the end-to-end external audit process and act as the technical authority on accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial governance.\n, • Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring effective systems, policies, procedures, and compliance with group and local requirements.\n, • Lead financial planning, cash flow management, KPI reporting, and forecasting to support operational decision-making and identify risks and opportunities.\n, • Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, divisional controllers, group finance, auditors, and tax advisors.\n, • Champion exceptional customer service and support the Finance Director with strategic and ad-hoc projects that drive organisational growth and operational excellence.\n\n About you \n\n • Fully qualified accountant with significant senior-level experience in financial accounting, reporting and governance within a complex organisation.\n, • Strong inclusive leader who can lead, develop and motivate their teams.\n, • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS16, IFRS15, IAS2, IAS36, IAS37 and FRS102, with the ability to interpret and apply accounting and disclosure requirements within a complex commercial environment.\n, • Experience of overseeing the tax returns for companies specifically applying the above stated accounting standards.\n, • Practical experience with group consolidation/reporting modules and intercompany transactions/arrangements under a multi-entity/group environment\n\n What’s on Offer \n\n • £90,000–£110,000 salary dependant on experience\n, • 20% discretionary bonus\n, • Company car or monthly car allowance\n, • Medical insurance\n, • Company pension (7% contribution)\n, • 25 days annual leave\n, • Hybrid working (3 days on site)\n\n
