Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 1 - Desktop Installation Job Overview:We are seeking Technician 1 resources to provide desktop hardware installation services for BT Belfast. This role involves basic technical tasks to support service delivery, including unboxing and installing equipment, connecting peripherals, and performing initial power-on tests. Location: Merthr Tydfill CF48 1DH Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £13.66 (PAYE) OR £17.73 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company). Length : up to 31-Mar-26 Work Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (4 days per week) Key Responsibilities: • Unbox and install desktop hardware at designated desks., • Connect peripherals and cables (eg, power and network)., • Perform power-on self-tests and basic checks., • Initiate automated builds and simple scripted post-login configurations., • Follow structured workflows and instructions accurately., • Must have full UK DL (Manual), • Basic technical skills in hardware installation., • Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes., • Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
