Net Zero People is working with a leading renewable energy consultancy who are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to support a varied portfolio of projects including BESS, Solar and Data Centre development sites Required Qualifications, Skills and experience: • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, CEng Mice and 5 years’ experience working in a consultancy environment, • Working on a variety of projects across a range of sectors including housing development, energy infrastructure and highways, • Excellent technical skills in Drainage design, Civil 3d Design, Earthworks modelling, • Managing and mentoring junior and graduate Engineers, • Full UK right to work, Sponsorship is not available for this position Purpose of the Senior Civil Engineer To play a crucial role in the growth and success of the Civil Engineering team including being responsible for overseeing the engineering design of development sites, managing the day-to-day running of the civil engineering aspects of development projects including financial management, resourcing, programme and delivery. To be responsible for mentoring and developing junior staff and ensuring the company values are upheld in their career progression. Duties and Responsibilities Operations • Responsible for leading and managing civil engineering projects, including design, planning, construction oversight, and technical analysis., • Prepare or check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments and method statements., • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations in all design work., • Review and evaluation of design concepts to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. ·, • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times., • Continually strive for organisational improvement through championing improved systems and operations., • Adhere and contribute to the company Health and Safety policies and procedures. People • Actively manage and lead those reporting to you; provide support and encouragement of their continuing professional development in line with their goals for the year and in line with the department vision, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design challenges, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement, • Proactively identify learning opportunities relevant to your role and those reporting to you, • Actively participate in company reviews and goal setting sessions Salary £45- £55k
