We support organisations across a variety of sectors including finance, retail, telecommunications, utilities, gaming, government and insurance.\n\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nWe're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team.\n\nThis role is specifically responsible for overseeing the month end close process and ensuring our financial reporting is accurate and compliant. The role will develop a deep understanding of our balance sheet and SOX controls and provide oversight to maintain the highest level of financial control. There will also be the opportunity to work on wider Finance initiatives.\n\nThis role requires a chartered accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and will suit someone with experience running a month end close process and a strong technical background.\n\nDay to Day You'll Be:\n\n Oversee month end close across all teams\n Perform analytical review procedures\n Manage Balance sheet reconciliation review\nEnsure a robust SOX control environment is in place and risks are appropriately managed\n Own Equity and Investments accounting\n Support on automation projects across the team\n Mentor and develop other areas of the team\n Own accounting systems for Controllership\nSupport the internal and external audits\nSupport technical accounting initiatives within the team\nRegular liaison with Financial Control, Finance Revenue Team, Business Partnering, FP&A, Internal Audit, International Finance and other key stakeholders\nInvolvement in wider finance initiatives to constantly evolve and improve the Group Finance function\n\nEssential Skills & Experience:\n\n5+ years' accounting experience (PQE)\nExperience of working in, or having clients in a fast paced, complex environment\nExperience of overseeing internal financial reporting and month end close processes, putting the necessary processes and controls in place\nTechnical accounting experience\nPlanning and organising multiple activities to deadlines\nAbility to influence and persuade challenging internal customer client base and external contacts\nStrong analytical and forecasting skills\nClarity of vision and ability to drive change\n\nDesirable Skills & Experience:\n\nPrevious experience of working in a regulated environment (SOX/FCA)\nBig 10 accounting firms and/or can demonstrate working with listed companies\nUS GAAP Experience\n\nImpact You'll Make:\n\nWhat's In It For you?\nAt TransUnion you will be joining a friendly, forward thinking global business.\nAs well as an excellent salary and bonus scheme or commission scheme (if joining our sales teams) our benefits package comes with:\n\n26 days' annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service)\nGlobal paid wellness days off + a bonus day off to celebrate your birthday\nA generous contributory pension scheme + access to the TransUnion Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nPrivate health care + a variety of physical, mental and financial fitness wellbeing programmes such as access to mindfulness tools\nAccess to our diversity forums and communities so you can get involved in causes close to your heart\n\nTransUnion - a place to grow: \nIf there's something on the list of essential / desirable skills that you can't quite tick off, don't let that put you off applying.
