HR Business Partner Contract Length: Till EOY Location: Walton Oaks Rate: £25 per hour Hours: 37.5 per week Role Overview This role is hands‑on and high‑impact during a period of transformational change within the IFP business. The focus is on ownership, driving outcomes, and delivering exceptional documentation across complex people matters. The position may be remote or onsite: • Onsite: Walton Oaks office Key Responsibilities TBP Support Activities • Deliver key HR initiatives across workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent, reward, employee relations, and performance management., • Understand and champion global/regional processes that accelerate culture and performance., • Collaborate with Managers and Talent Acquisition on workforce and resourcing plans., • Build and maintain strong relationships with recognised trade unions., • Support critical change management initiatives impacting employees., • Enable TBPs to operate effectively and at pace., • Take ownership of actions with proactive follow‑through., • Step in confidently where clarity, structure, or momentum is needed. Employee Relations Activities • Support the ER team with cases including disciplinaries, grievances and performance issues., • Partner with Team Leaders to ensure ER processes comply with internal policies and UK legislation., • Produce well‑structured documentation such as investigation reports, outcome letters, case summaries and briefing notes., • Translate complex issues into plain, accurate and rigorous written language. Required Experience & Skills • Minimum 3 years’ HRBP experience., • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience., • Experience in FMCG, matrix organisations, or similar industries., • Experience supporting both blue‑collar and white‑collar workforces in a unionised environment., • Strong partnership with senior leaders., • HRIS experience (Workday preferred)., • Strong UK employment law and ER expertise, including handling complex cases., • Proven experience producing high‑quality documentation: reports, letters, notes., • Knowledge of talent attraction and talent management best practice., • Highly organised, structured and detail‑oriented., • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across stakeholder groups., • Ability to challenge, push back and provide alternative viewpoints as a trusted advisor., • Proactive, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities., • Clear sense of ownership and accountability.
