We have no hidden fees either. Insurance is paid for by us on every movement, and we dont charge a licence fee to use our award-winning technology. How much can I earn? It is completely up to you. Our payment model is based on a job-by-job basis. Every job on our portal has the pay listed, so you know exactly what you can earn per job. We are looking for 2 Groundworkers / General Labourers to join a busy site team on an ongoing project. Position 1: Groundworker with Telehandler competency Position 2: Groundworker with Dumper Ticket up to 10t Key Responsibilities Installation of approximately 800m of Heras fencing and gates Light de-vegetation and site clearance Removal, handling and storage of handrails Supporting the construction of haul roads General site housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe working area Assisting the site team with general groundworks and labouring duties Further drainage and ducting works as the project progresses Following instructions from the Supervisor and maintaining good health & safety standards Requirements CSCS card relevant to the role Telehandler competency required for one of the two position A Dumper ticket up to 10T would be highly advantageous for the second position Previous experience as a Groundworker / General Labourer on construction or civil engineering sites Good understanding of site health & safety Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team Candidates with additional relevant plant tickets/experience are welcome PPE / Site Requirements Candidates will need to provide: Orange long-sleeved Hi-Vis Orange or yellow work trousers Safety boots White hard hat Local Candidates Preferred We are ideally looking for candidates who are locally based and readily available for work, particularly those who can reliably travel to site each day. Straight-Line Group are currently looking for Groundworkers to start on a project in York, commencing Monday 28th September. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, hardworking operatives to secure a minimum of 8 weeks' work, with the potential for the project to continue into spring for the right candidates. We are particularly interested in candidates with additional plant tickets, as one operative will ideally hold a Telehandler ticket. A Dumper ticket (up to 10T) would also be highly advantageous for the second operative. The Role: The initial works will involve a variety of groundworks and general site duties, including: • Installation of approximately 800m of Heras fencing and gates, • Light vegetation clearance, • Removal and storage of handrails, • Supporting haul road construction, • General site keeping, • Assisting with other site activities as required The Ideal Candidates: • Previous experience working as a Groundworker, • Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in, • Telehandler competency (essential for one position), • Dumper ticket up to 10T (advantageous), • Able to work safely and effectively as part of a site team PPE Requirements: Candidates must have: • Orange long-sleeved hi-vis, • Orange or yellow work trousers, • Safety boots, • White hard hat Gloves, safety glasses and other required PPE will be supplied on site.
