We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary practice in the heart of the community. You will greet each client and offer support and guidance, managing payments and future bookings confidently. Ensuring that the client leaves knowing that they have received exceptional service and will look forward to their next visit. Coordinating the smooth running of the day-to-day routines of the practice will be done using our online booking system, so computer literacy is a must. Responsibilities: Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly manner Schedule appointments and manage the practice diary Answer phone calls and emails, and respond to queries efficiently Process payments for services rendered Maintain accurate client records in the practice management system Assist with administrative tasks as required Ensure the reception area is kept clean and organised Place and put away orders Skills: Previous experience in a veterinary practice is advantageous Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Proficient in computing Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals Empathy and the ability to handle difficult situations Shifts alternate between 8.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 7.00pm on a rota basis, and Saturdays are 1 in 3, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER JOB SPECIFICATION We are looking for a motivated, flexible and committed individual to support the people we work with, our customers, to reach their potential and improve their quality of life through aspirational goal setting. Knowledge of supported living and housing related support. I.E benefit entitlement, how to apply for universal credit. Experience and Knowledge of safeguarding legislation. Experience of working within a supported living environment. Knowledge of basic computer skills with a good standard of English- such as Microsoft office and word. You will act as the link between the people we work with and a range of local authority, community and voluntary sector providers. Support workers play a vital role in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health needs, communication difficulties and/or complex health needs to live independently. Support workers provide the physical and emotional support that someone might need to achieve their goals. Every individual that we support has a unique personality, sense of humour, preferences, needs and aspirations. As a support worker, your role is to support people to do the things that matter most to them. Independent living, with tailored support Our Supported Living Plus services are provided in conjunction with Golden Lane housing. Individual flats and shared spaces balance the opportunity for independent living with space for activities and companionship, to reduce the risk of social isolation. SUPPORT WORKER RESPOSIBILITIES Providing emotional support to individuals and their families. Providing practical support for individuals and their families, such as helping with household tasks, personal care and paperwork. Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks. Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests. Supporting the learning of new skills or gaining employment. Teaching life skills, such as budgeting and paying bills. Helping with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, writing a shopping list, going shopping or maintaining their housing tenancy. Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups. Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language. Working with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support. Analysing an individual’s needs and drawing up a focused support plan.
