NG Bailey Facilities Services is on the lookout for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. You'll be part of a forward-thinking company, responsible for maintaining five commercial buildings, all within a short walk of each other in the heart of Manchester. Your Key Responsibilities\n In this role, you will: \n\n • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant, HVAC equipment, and building services infrastructure.\n, • Ensure maintenance aligns with SFG20 standards and contractual SLAs/KPIs.\n, • Maintain plant rooms and service areas to a high standard of cleanliness.\n, • Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation to ensure compliance.\n, • Deliver excellent service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within SLAs.\n, • Conduct operational activities in line with internal regulations and external legislation.\n, • Work independently and manage reactive works and small projects.\n, • Accurately complete documentation, logbooks, and compliance records.\n, • Identify defects, recommend remedial actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with no on-call duties! What We’re Looking For\n We seek an experienced technician who is dedicated to delivering high-quality building services in a commercial environment, with a strong focus on customer service. \n You should have: \n\n • Level 3 Equivalent in a Mechanical Discipline, with BMS experience and multi-skilling capabilities.\n, • Experience in servicing and repairing heating/cooling systems and water systems.\n, • Skills in small mechanical installations (valves, taps, etc.).\n, • Proficiency in M&E fault-finding.\n, • User knowledge/experience of BMS/Controls.\n, • Experience with PPMs for pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and more.\n, • Legionella qualification/experience.\n, • Understanding of RAMS, point of work risk assessments, and permits.\n, • Experience managing subcontractors.\n, • Familiarity with digital CAFM systems on smartphones or tablets.\n, • Unvented hot water qualification & IPAF certification are desirable.\nWhy Join Us?\n At NG Bailey, we believe in evolving our benefits to attract and retain top talent.
