Assistant Teacher – Preschool (NYS OCFS Program)
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Pay: $17–$18/hr (DOE)
Location: 3 North Village Green Levittown, Nassau County, NY
We are seeking an energetic Assistant Teacher for our NYS OCFS-licensed preschool program, focused on thematic activities and purposeful play. This is a toddler position, so candidates must be physically able to lift children, move around the classroom, and play actively.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teacher with daily lesson plans and classroom activities
- Supervise and engage children in play that promotes learning and development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Communicate with parents and staff professionally
Requirements: - Experience in a preschool or toddler program preferred
- Physically fit and active
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Positive, patient, and reliable
