Job Description CNC Machinist Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize CNC equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality precision components. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, including Haas and Okuma equipment, • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes, • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height/depth gauges), • Read, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code programs, • Upload, download, and manage CNC programs using basic computer systems, • Train and support machine operators on setup, machining, deburring, and troubleshooting procedures, • Accurately document production data, maintain setup sheets, and track serial numbers, • Identify opportunities to improve tooling, fixtures, setups, and machining processes, • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams, • 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill), • Strong experience with Haas and Okuma controls, setups, tooling, and program editing, • Exposure to additional equipment such as DMG MORI, Mazak, Makino, Doosan/DN Solutions, FANUC, or Mitsubishi is a plus, • Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings, • Proficiency with precision measurement and inspection tools, • Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred, • On-site role, Monday–Friday (1st or 2nd shift) with potential overtime, • Hourly rate: $25.00–$35.00 (based on experience), • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status is required For more information, contact Steve Moore at (call or text) or connect on LinkedIn.
