Job DescriptionJob Title: Entry-Level Carpenter Apprentice / Construction CarpenterJob Description Start your career in commercial construction as an Entry-Level Carpenter. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced carpenters on a large warehouse construction project, helping build, install, and assemble structural and finish carpentry components. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and is looking to grow within the construction industry. Responsibilities • Assist experienced carpenters with the installation of framing, blocking, forms, doors, and other carpentry-related tasks., • Measure, cut, and assemble construction materials using hand tools and power tools., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards., • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials throughout the job site., • Assist with layout work and material preparation for carpentry projects., • Build and dismantle temporary structures, barriers, and job site protection as directed., • Help install wood, metal, and other building materials used in commercial construction., • Perform general construction duties including lifting, carrying, sweeping, and debris removal., • Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions provided by supervisors and skilled carpenters., • Participate in daily safety meetings and report unsafe conditions to site leadership., • Support project completion by performing additional carpentry and construction-related tasks as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications, • Previous construction, carpentry, woodworking, or general labor experience preferred but not required., • Strong interest in learning the carpentry trade and developing construction skills., • Ability to safely use or learn to use basic hand tools and power tools., • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions., • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude., • Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team., • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment., • Reliable transportation to and from the job site.Preferred Qualifications, • 6+ months of experience in construction, carpentry, framing, roofing, landscaping, or related trades., • Familiarity with measuring tools, saws, drills, levels, and other common carpentry equipment., • Experience working on commercial, warehouse, industrial, or large-scale construction projects., • OSHA 10 certification is a plus; free OSHA 10 training is available for qualified candidates., • Interest in pursuing a long-term career in carpentry or the skilled trades.Why Join Us?, • Gain hands-on carpentry experience on a large commercial warehouse project., • Learn from experienced journeyman carpenters and construction professionals., • Long-term project offering steady work and weekly pay., • Overtime opportunities available to increase earnings., • Free OSHA 10 training provided to help you build valuable industry credentials., • Clear opportunities for skill development and career growth within the construction industry., • Team-oriented environment that values hard work, dependability, and a willingness to learn.Work Environment This position is based on an active outdoor commercial construction site. Work will involve exposure to varying weather conditions, physical labor, and the use of hand and power tools. Employees should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around construction equipment throughout the day. Typical schedules include: • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, • Mid Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pattersonville, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
